Boost Cup at DreamHack Anaheim 2020

Head Admin | February 21-23, 2020
Project Overview
Boost Cup is a DreamHack initiative to create tournaments available to everyone attending DreamHack events, whether they are BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) attendees, or just bringing themselves. Boost Cup at DreamHack Anaheim 2020 was a Rocket League competition featuring a $5,000 prize pool with a broadcast and finals on the DreamHack BYOC Stage.
My Contributions
As the head admin, I was responsible for:
- Bracket formatting
- Setting up registration & bracket pages
- Performing seeding
- Managing all player communications
- Coordinating the broadcast
- Managing a pair of assistant admins to execute the brackets

As the event was a hybrid of BYOC and provided setups, we overcame the logistical challenges of assisting players among the 1,676 BYOC attendees as well as throughout a freeplay area of 100 PCs.
