Boost Cups @
DreamHack Beyond

Competitive Operations Manager | July 23-31, 2021
Project Overview
DreamHack Beyond was a digital festival with an online multiplayer game. As part of Beyond, DreamHack organized several esports tournaments and Rocket League had its own dedicated set called "Boost Cups".  With a total of $30,000 of prizing split among traditional tournaments (1v1, 2v2, and 3v3) as well as freestyle competitions and a fashion show, Boost Cups were a celebration of all facets of Rocket League esports and its communities.

You can view the VODs on the DreamHack Rocket League Twitch channel!
My Contributions
As the Competitive Operations Manager, my responsibilities included:
- Authoring the gameplay content in the legal rules
- Creating the tournament pages & overseeing registration
- Staffing a team of admins for the event (one team for NA, one for EU)
- Managing communications with teams, players, coaches, and managers (this included a large amount of support for registration-related questions & troubleshooting)
- Resolving all match-related issues (connection, rule questions, etc.)
- Coordinating matches for broadcast with the producer and observers

This was a real marathon of events, alternating between regions and game modes, so I'm extremely proud that we pulled this off so excellently (including 1000+ players competing). It was a celebration of all facets of Rocket League competition.
